Can WR647-D operate two 4G connections at the same time?
Yes. WR647-D has two 4G modems that support active-active operation and four SIM slots. Each modem can maintain a cellular connection. Configure routing for the deployment; active-active operation does not itself combine the connections into a single bonded link.
What Ethernet and Wi-Fi interfaces does WR647-D offer?
WR647-D supports one 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port, four Gigabit Ethernet ports, one SFP port and Wi-Fi 6 AX3000. Verify the SFP module and local-network compatibility when planning the installation.
How should WR647-D be powered?
WR647-D can receive power through its four-pin Molex DC connector or an active PoE connection. Its PoE PD interface receives power from a compatible supply; it does not supply power to downstream PoE devices. Check the ordered unit’s power requirements before installation.
Can WR647-D switch to cellular if its Ethernet WAN fails?
Yes. WR647-D supports failover between Ethernet WAN and cellular WAN. Configure the primary and backup connections and the failure-detection policy for your deployment. Existing sessions may need to reconnect when the WAN changes.
Can WR647-D support VPN access and industrial data communication?
Yes. WR647-D supports WireGuard, OpenVPN and IPsec for VPN access, as well as Modbus TCP client/server and MQTT broker, publisher and gateway functions. Configure VPN routing and the required device data mapping for your application.
