Does WR677-D have two 5G modems?
Yes. WR677-D has two 5G modems that support active-active operation and four SIM slots. Configure each cellular connection and its routing policy to match the deployment requirements.
What local-network interfaces does WR677-D provide?
WR677-D supports one 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port, four Gigabit Ethernet ports, one SFP port and Wi-Fi 6 AX3000. Confirm the SFP module and local-network link requirements during deployment planning.
How should WR677-D be powered?
WR677-D can receive power through its four-pin Molex DC connector or an active PoE connection. Its PoE PD interface receives power from a compatible supply; it does not supply power to downstream PoE devices. Check the ordered unit’s power requirements before installation.
Can WR677-D switch to cellular if its Ethernet WAN fails?
Yes. WR677-D supports failover between Ethernet WAN and cellular WAN. Configure the primary and backup connections and the failure-detection policy for your deployment. Existing sessions may need to reconnect when the WAN changes.
Can WR677-D support VPN access and industrial data communication?
Yes. WR677-D supports WireGuard, OpenVPN and IPsec for VPN access, as well as Modbus TCP client/server and MQTT broker, publisher and gateway functions. Configure VPN routing and the required device data mapping for your application.
