Can WR565 connect both Gigabit Ethernet and serial devices?
Yes. WR565 supports four 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet ports, one RS232 port and one RS485 port. It also includes digital inputs and outputs, an analog input and a relay.
What cellular performance does WR565 specify?
WR565 uses LTE-A Cat 6 with a listed cellular WAN rate of up to 300 Mbps. Actual data rates depend on signal conditions, network load, operator service and the deployment configuration.
How should WR565 be powered?
WR565 can receive power through its four-pin Molex DC connector or an active PoE connection. Its PoE PD interface receives power from a compatible supply; it does not supply power to downstream PoE devices. Check the ordered unit’s power requirements before installation.
Can WR565 switch to cellular if its Ethernet WAN fails?
Yes. WR565 supports failover between Ethernet WAN and cellular WAN. Configure the primary and backup connections and the failure-detection policy for your deployment. Existing sessions may need to reconnect when the WAN changes.
Can WR565 support VPN access and industrial data communication?
Yes. WR565 supports WireGuard, OpenVPN and IPsec for VPN access, as well as Modbus TCP client/server and MQTT broker, publisher and gateway functions. Configure VPN routing and the required device data mapping for your application.
